Public notice for the Casa Bosianu project

ANNOUNCEMENT OF FUNDING for the project “Consolidation, Restoration, and Enhancement of the Bosianu House”

National Institute of Heritage (NIH) provides non-reimbursable funding through the Historic Monuments Stamp (HMS) for projects aimed at protecting and promoting historic monuments. The INP’s funding priorities through the TMI program were as follows:

• Ensuring the safety of historic monuments at risk;
• Engaging heritage communities and local communities in the protection of historic monuments;
• Contributing to national and international programs dedicated to cultural heritage.

The subprogram “Design – preparation of technical and economic documentation for interventions on historic monuments” was developed with the aim of applying for funding both under the future Multiannual Financial Framework of the European Union (2021–2027) and through various national programs.

Bosianu House - Boardroom & Main corridor

The Astronomical Institute participated in the TMI Session I/2025 of the competition with the project “Consolidation, Restoration, and Enhancement of the Bosianu House”, which, following successive evaluations, was selected for funding, ranking 15th on the list of approved projects. The funding contract was signed on September 25, 2025. Through the funding obtained, the project aims to:

• Developing solutions for the structural consolidation and restoration of the building;
• Conserving all architectural and artistic values;
• Ensuring all operating conditions in accordance with contemporary standards;
• Implementing a use plan that will allow public access and the activation of the IAAR Park’s heritage.

The implementation of this project contributes to the protection of a landmark of national heritage and to its integration into a cultural and scientific network open to the community.
